The movie Legion comes out in January 2010 but holy CRAP it looks ridiculous. Not sure how we feel about God wanting to kill us all (we’re not THAT bad right!?) but watch the trailer after you read the write up by radioplanet.tv below. We’ll be covering this movie from all angles when we see more, religious, theatrical, historical and more.

In Legion, an “extermination” of religious epic is taking everyone out on earth. It’s up to a ragtag group of stranded people in a diner to help save the unborn messiah, with a little help from the angel Michael. The catch is that God actually sent his angels to destroy mankind, so Gabriel (the angel of death) and a few thousand others are on their way to make it so.

Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Charles S. Dutton and Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy) star as a part of the human crew, while Paul Bettany (The DaVinci Code, The Secret Life of Bees) and Kevin Durand (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) face off as Michael and Gabriel, respectively.

This trailer from Screen Gems is kind of scary by itself, so the movie should bring about some big surprises in theaters in January 2010.
