I was curiously surprised during a visit to Uniqlo in Soho New York. Once I ventured past the muted shades of summers past and sped past the uninspiring humor of winters arrivals I was forced to stop dead in my tracks due to an unexpected engulfment of merchandising artistic expression. From combat boots to boxing sneakers every single male mannequin is outfitted in what Uniqlo considers to be this season’s must have item for men everywhere…leg warmers.

Is this a hint of what’s to be expected from fashion in the coming months? Was this trend stolen from a more prominent designer only to be poorly executed by Uniqulo? And if so will leg warmers on men be embraced or shunned?
