Biker Boots Without The Bike!
Written by John Thompson II on October 1, 2009
Grab your favorite pair of skinny or fitted jeans and pair them with a beat up pair of motorcycle boots this fall. From Los Angeles to New York and specific areas between the two, both men and women are raving about this look.
Worn with a black three quarter length trench, v-neck t-shirt and a scarf this look is dominating the streets of New York, and the clubs of Los Angeles.
Being an equal opportunity fashion trend has its perks. Both men and women are owning this look and are molding this trend into an everyday staple as opposed to a trendy occasional look. What was once a grunge inspired silhouette is now the Hollywood go to for coffee at Starbucks, and lunch at Ivy.
The focal point of this look is the motorcycle boots. With this in mind feel free to adjust so that the look is a reflection of your own particular style. I have paired mines with a black wool peacoat, distressed v-neck t-shirt (with a thermal underneath on cold days), skinny jeans that have been tucked into the boot, and are slouched down so that they do not stand straight up. Women can duplicate this look as well.
If you keep in mind that the boot should look weathered, distressed and worn in, then you won’t go wrong. Embrace the vintage side of fashion and grunge.
