Illiterate Woman Writes Number One Bestseller
Written by Michael Fidanza on October 8, 2009
Sarah Palin: Hockey mom. PTA member. Small town mayor. Governor of Alaska. Republican Vice-Presidential candidate.
Include a new title – best-selling author. Her upcoming novel, Going Rogue, is already a chart-topper.
Yet, according to some, Mrs. Palin is not the sharpest tool.
Vanity Fair’s Todd Purdim spent ten thousand words in the August 2009 edition to assert that she was ignorant and vindictive.
ABC’s Charles Gibson donned reading glasses so he could play schoolteacher and quiz Palin about the non-existent Bush Doctrine. This was the same Charles Gibson who had no idea of the ACORN sting story one day before the Endangered Media discovered it.
Perky Katie Couric had a gotcha moment when Palin could not recall what specific publications she read; almost suggesting that Palin was illiterate.
Comedienne Tina Fey actually won an Emmy for her portrayal of a bumpkinesque Palin. Some people actually believe Fey’s line “I can see Russia from my howse!” was said by Palin herself.
Robert Kiyosaki, author of the best-selling “Rich Dad” series was once asked by a reporter how he could call himself a ‘New York Times best-selling author’, considering that he was not a writer. He replied that he never said he was a “best writing” author, just a best-selling one. If you have ever read one of the Rich Dad books, you may agree that the story is more powerful than the way it is presented.
Sarah Palin is that kind of person.
The Right loves her because she is down-to-earth and speaks in a way that resonates with them personally. The Left hate her because she is crude, unpolished and a hunter. For once I ask: her politics and pedigree aside – do you believe in her message…that Americans are special, generous, loving, hard-working, brave and capable of anything?
Now, in Wednesday’s edition of Time online, they wonder how she was able to finish a 400-page memoir in three short months. No longer a vice-presidential candidate or a state governor, Sarah Palin was on a mission – to make sure everyone hear her side of the story in her own words.
Where her journey takes her, one can only guess. Though dismissed on a whole by liberal and left-leaning pundits, even conservative and right-leaning pundits are quick to dismiss her as a serious future candidate for anything, let alone a force in the Conservative movement. The question is when will either side realize that Palin resonates with people?
Of the GOP 2012 hopefuls with recent books, Mitt Romney’s preorder rank is #282,183 on Amazon. Mike Huckabee’s Do the Right Thing is #28,891.
And for Sarah Palin? #1 on both Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com for the past week. The initial order by the publisher of 1.5 million copies is almost all sold out. With those kinds of stats, Palin’s reported advance of $7 million is almost covered.
Much like the fall of the Soviet Union, Sarah Palin became a bestselling author before one book was read.

This is excellent! The left hates this woman because she proves all the misconceptions of feminism. She doesn’t make herself out to be the victim. Instead she stays confident and true to herself and ultimately wins over the hearts of many in America. Even with the mainstream media constantly after her, she still manages so create a bestselling book before it is released, I love it!!!

I have read Robert's books and she is an inspiration. She is powerful because she appeals to the average joe. We need to rally with her to give her support for the upcoming elections because she is a great mouth piece for our party.
