Lt. Colonel Allen West is an absolute elequent Patriot! We hear you Lt. Col. West and God bless you!

    • KKJ

He talks good but how is his 'walk'?
Many people voted for the current President because he was a smooth talker full of 'words'. Pretty words. They sounded wonderful. Now, those same people who voted for him are wondering "but? You said". And quite a few of them are second guessing themselves now that the race was won and the words are echoes of an 'idea' that really sounded good when it originally made it's way out of the mouth(s) of all those making promises for 'change'.
We really try to be democratic but we will always fall short because of our very nature. The desire of the 'ego' to be powerful, famous, loved, and respected.
We are social animals (yes, we are animals, mammals to be more precise) It is hardwired into our genetic make up to be guided or to lead. If no one followed, who would be the leader? What would we do if no one lead? We would be lost, and we are. We are always going to be in some kind of a 'pickle'.
Nothing should rely on one or even several thousand, persons, claiming to represent the 'whole'.
When we build up expectations, we are bound to be disappointed at some point.
We are selfish, hateful, and fearful. We say "God bless America". Why not "God bless the Universe." Why not bless everyone and every precious moment? Is America more worthy of a pleasant, peaceful lifestyle than any other Country? If we would show compassion to all, instead of only those who we know and hold dear, family, friends, countrymen, and think about 'All' being 'Blessed', we could possibly have half a chance of survival. As it is, we only care about what matters to us and do not consider what is out of sight.
By the way, America was invaded by Europeans who then went forth and totally destroyed the 'Natives' of the Continent. Now there is something to be proud of. One of the most 'spiritual' cultures, murdered and put in 'reservations' or maybe 'concentration camps?" Why? Because it is in our very nature to do the harmful things we do to ourselves and others. We really want to be 'good', it is a constant battle. Our nature is not, as a whole, what would be considered, 'good'. If I must give examples as to why, you probably never should have began reading this.
Right now I see the faces, distorted in anger and disgust at the words I am typing. No one wants to pay attention to the 'root' of the issue. Instead we choose to 'finger point' and place blame on matters that would not exist if we, as a species did not exist. We have and will continue, to create all of the things we moan and groan about and then when one person cannot 'fix' it all, or rather a group of people, the government, for example, we look to another 'leader' who speaks beautifully, and then falls short on the words he spoke when being admired by 'could be' voters.
We are the definition of 'insanity'. We attempt to accomplish something, the same way, over and over, expecting different results.
Perhaps evolution will eventually work itself out, to create a 'being' somewhat like humans, which is able to just live life as pleasantly as possible, and maybe, even wish for others to live the same way.
It is our desperate need to put a label on something, and then judge it for what we have labeled it, that is so self destructive. People cannot stand something 'different'. 'Different is somehow 'scary' to us.' And it is our nature to want to be rid of that which we fear, in whatever way necessary to make 'us' personally comfortable and acknowledged for being 'right' and 'the best'.
We have made life complicated for ourselves and now we are moaning, groaning, whining and crying about what we have produced as a species. And, now, ….now, we believe that we need 'change', which we certainly do, but we will not really change anything at all. New faces maybe. But face it, we are humans. We can only act as humans do, just as any animal behaves as it's 'nature' dictates.
I do believe that people do want to care, to live in peace and harmony, but we are not ready for that step yet. It is going to take much more work in the area of 'natural selection' before our poor species will understand that it isn't all about 'ME'!
Let's just skip coming together as countrymen all together and move on to coming together with all that is. Not just republicans, Christians, heterosexual, attractive, democrats, lesbians, rich, Hispanics, lawyers, or any other 'label' we wish to choose, but EVERYONE, coming together for the sake of what is spoke of all too often, yet not often demonstrated, pure, raw, Love. There can be no fear in love or vice versa.
That is one phrase Obama used and stuck to. "Hope over Fear". Here we all are, still hoping with the same results over and over again.

Not everyone believes that we are animals! Or in Natural selection or every label Science want to use to define life. We as human have no clue what sustains the world apart from God. We just use funny silly words to feel smart! Yes we have discover great things to realize we know nothing! Needed to say that! By the way as a Hispanic Christian conservative, I agree with great part of your comment. Good pondering my fellow american!!!

        • Ron

Thanks for your comment. Some people just don't get it. Probably because they don't understand who our God is. He is watching over us, but allows us to live in a world where we as individuals can make our own choice. This is however how we got into this situation in this first place. Keep the Faith!!

Yes, I could vote for this guy. He actually had a real job, unlike our president!

      • http://laredoteapartypatriots.ning.com Chris

I only want to reply to one statement that you made here. He talks well but how is his walk? First, I must point out that this Patriot is moving about the stage and looking the people in the eye, he speaks from the heart and off the cuff and his intellect on the topics shows that he is knowledgeable about what it is that he speaks of. Unlike our "Clean, Articulate, Well-spoken" president, this man doesn't need a teleprompter or even stutter over aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh…………….aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh…………words.

      • Jim

KKJ give up the drugs! Everyting that comes out of Obanas' mouth crap!

      • Maria

Obama "talked good"??? You were inspired by a man who voted to withhold care from babies who lived through an abortion? You were inspired by a man who said abortion should be legal because he doesn't want his daughters "punished" by a baby? A baby who would be his own grandchild?

  • http://www.facebook.com/rbstarnes Robyn Bumpas Starnes

Can I vote for him TOMORROW???????

  • Shirley R. Morgan

Lt. Colonel Allen West, you have my vote!
    Keep up the good work!

  • Michael Maden

Could we possibly have someone with character, values and morals. Some one with actual 'military experience' is what is needed to be our "commander in chief". Not a lawyer or real estate broker!

Give it a rest KKJ, go to another country if you don't like this one or if your not pround of it! And by the way no "One World Order!" O.K. Mr. Universe, thank you very much. As if you have a handle on what the problem really is in this world!!! All knowing all seeing…right!

The Lt.Col's voice rings with words of encouragement and tryth that have not been heard in years. John McCain did not utter one of these ideals and equated his self with his opponent and paid the price, but not as much as we americans have.It is tragic that McCain was such a flawed candidate. We owe a great deal of our loss's to McCains being picked by the national media to lead to loose and he performed well at that task and never shown remorse since.

More talk. Beware of false profits. The best lies are full half truths. All I see here is more hot talk, inflammatory lyrics like its the Jerry Spring of politics, saying a whole lot of nothing and your all fixing your bayonets ready to impale… what…. other Americans because they disagree with you.

    • selma sexton

Lt. Colonel Allen West bring it own, you are the best yet. Where were you in 2008? Our present government is no good, selling the American people out. I hope you are not to late. We need you.

I think that Lieutenant Colonel Allen West might be a good vice presidential candidate for Governor Saran Palin. Although West is impressive, I'm going for Saran Palin.
We need someone with political executive experience.
Past presidents out of the military have not turned out effective administrations.
You cannot mention Washington, because he was a member of the Virginia House of Burgesses and the Continental Congress. Jackson was a member of the House and the Senate. However, Taylor and Grant never held elective office and they were our two worst presidents until Obama. Eisenhower was probably our best military-turned-president. However, being supreme commander was a political job, because the British, the French, and the Canadians were not easy to handle and it took great political skill to get them to submit to an American commander.

I think the Lietenant did a fine job. I'm a newby to the TeaParty and want to learn more about it, what it stands for, all of it. But looking ahead, we need leadership that is not willing to compromise, they must have wisdom as Solomon had to lead his people, their actions in their lives must speak louder then their words (just the opposite Obama's words were the reason why he was elected, not his actions) and people of character, not a character.

Also what document is in place that will define what we are standing firmly on? Kind of like a Statement of Faith which Churches have. I understand we as Americans have the Constitution and more, but what will help to keep us on the right path and keep this movement from infiltration from liberals or moderates? What will help to keep the TeaParty from becoming like the Republican Party?

    God, I'm glad I became a Canadian.

I'd like to comment… not on this speech but on the Lt. Colonel. Yes he is an eloquent speaker (aren't most politicians?) but lets consider who he is. Although I do not know him personally I have had the opportunity to meet him during a fundraiser for a fallen American hero at our American Legion Post 277. Colonel West is a patriot and considers those who respect and fight for our country to be patriots as well. I feel the same… This gentleman served his country with honor and dignity and isn't afraid to stand up and present his conviction. I think that his character is refreshing, but I will also hope that the people that he ultimately surrounds himself with have the same respect to patriotism and the USA that he exemplifies.
