Anderson Cooper’s Haiti 101 (video)

For those of you who don’t have the news, radio, or know-it-all coworkers; you should be informed that Haiti has suffered a massive quake with an astronomical death toll (old news). But our favorite socialite hottie with the body has recently offered his viewers something we can’t pass up passing on to ours. Below is a Haiti 101 video, everything Mr. Adorable Cooper thinks you need to know. Haiti is now very much a conversation piece and now you are very much the expert, just try to play it off as if you know this much about every last country, not just the recently maimed ones.     ugh talking heads trying to "come up" with interesting tidbits of info to try and tie everything together. how on earth does charcoal, mudslides, literacy, and population density have anything to do with the earthquake as a whole? Persistent problems of 4 storms in 2008 and political unrest. Obviously the political unrest pissed of the tectonic plates and they decided they were mad as hell and weren't going to take it anymore.

    I dont think they meant that the earthquake was cause by the things you mentioned. I think they mean that those are the reasons things are as bad as they are and there is mass chaos.
    poverty-run down buildings easier to collapse
    literacy rate-makes it hard to explain to the people what is going on and what they need or dont need to do
    political unrest-the government is very corrupt and on several occasions has been givin "aid money" that didnt reach the people.
    four major storms-they havent gotten the chance to full rebuild from past devastation before another one hits.
