A Posh View

Victoria_Beckham_viewTo say that Victoria Beckham is trying on a less spicy career compared to The Spice Girls is debatable. Her new gig on the View promises to be just as palatable.

After the most successful Spice Girl did a guest spot as a judge on American Idol, Victoria Beckham is foraying into the arena of talk. She needn’t worry, though. The View is the bubble gum of talk shows, just as The Spice Girls were of rock.

All jabs aside, I do really like Posh, who was nicknamed “Posh Spice” because of her more upper-class background and refined attitude. Her cool accent will bring a lot to the show compared to Joy and Whoopi’s cackles. But I have no idea where she stands on the issues, especially being a Brit. Joy Behar is even quoted as being curious to hear what kind of perspective Victoria will bring to the show.

As a guest on The View last year, she chatted about everything from her dreamy soccer player husband, to her shoes, and her new clothing line.

The buzz on the street is that she will be promoting her new fashion line, which caters to women of all sizes. [Posh claims to wear the same size as J-lo].

Sky News reports that, “Victoria will be doing Fashion Week, meeting with buyers, before going on the show, which is right down her alley…. ABC is already promoting Beckham’s guest appearance, describing her as ‘a fashion icon, a former Spice Girl, and she’s all-around fabulous.’”

So where will she fit in on the View? Is she funny? One confidante says, “She has a wicked sense of humor.” However she says she doesn’t often smile because “that’s just her.” she’s an author. She’s written two books; one an autobiography, and the other a guide to style. She, personally never wears flat shoes, and is probably the number one advocate for stilettos. She dressed up Ellen; even getting her to wear heels. Oh, and she doesn’t think Jon Stewart is funny.

Having worked with her, I have my own opinion about why she doesn't smile… (nightmare).
