Anything to Save a Liberal Seat

John Burton

John Burton

This has to be the most challenging year for Democrats to date and to tell you the truth they are the only ones to blame. It was they who ignored the cries of the people, not to mention their promises to instill “Change” for America and used backdoor deals to instill an unconstitutional legislation.  Further, they allowed a nation to hire the worst man for President, using tactics of emotion and lies of deception. From Bart Stupak’s resignation to the current polls regarding many liberal strong seats, it seems Americans are acting quickly against the once treasured majority.  Nonetheless, they think they deserve another shot in November and, it seems, will do anything to get it.

Already there have been reports of them supporting outrageous agendas to get just a few extra votes. Recently, California Democratic Party Chair John Burton announced one major way they are going to reach that once owned youth vote: marijuana.  The liberal party is actually going to revert to the legalization of pot in order to keep their majority as for another 4 years.  They actually believe the college students who will be left with the bill for years to come for ObamaCare and other objectives will just forget about it and follow them into a hemp world.  This just goes to show you the world they live in is not the world we reside.

Although Burton said he doesn’t know the party’s position on the matter fully, despite being a party leader, he stated this is what will “Bring people out” to the ballot booths.  Hence, with the one word response “Pot”, Burton stated the entire agenda of the Democratic Party’s way to get the youth vote.  There is only one problem with that: in the one location where this agenda is already set, California, major democrats have already shown a position against it. Senator Barbra Boxer has consistently stated a position not only against the legalization but also against it being an initiative on a ballot ticket.  I guess our “leader” Mr. Burton missed that conference call.

This just goes to show you how really fragmented the Democratic Party is.  We have seen this time and time again, though events such as people realizing how horrid ObamaCare was after voting for it as well as stepping into bipartisan summits with a bill on the internet already.    However, you cannot really blame them actually. They are literally scrambling for support and votes through any means necessary.  However, reaching youth through such questionable circumstances is low even for them.  This is a majority of the people who they had once called friend and now call payer which they now believe they can go back to where their relationship was with just one act.

The Republicans however, have objectives that are very much more moral and abiding to reality.  This includes a ballot measure to criminalize crushing the heads of unborn children in order to perform a partial birth abortion; placed via a petition on Secretary of State Al Jaeger’s desk.  Pro-Life Republicans see this as not only a time to fight and reflect but also to stand strong as they know they are alone in this battle.  After Bart Stupak’s falling on the knife via an Executive Order, Republicans see intently how much abortion is no longer a bipartisan issue but an issue they are to stand alone on and it seems they couldn’t be happier.  Partial birth abortion is a serious factor and is seen to be a strong leg in the Republican re-elections and elections.  This is also, as said before not a backward type objective just to get votes but a straight-held initiative within their beliefs.

Nevertheless, 2010 is going to be a battle and it seems the ones with the real reasons to fight are the Republicans. The Democrats are waking up to the reality that they are no longer the People’s Party and are seeing the rallies, letters and calls that they should have seen so long ago; Before they placed America with a bill, a further risk to their futures and a spit mark on their constitution. The Democrats will see the world they handed us fully, unemployed and 2010 will be the change the nation has been searching for.
