Although America has already shown a historic height of dissatisfaction regarding our current President, the most alarming rejection is recently coming from a very surprising sector of politics: members of his own party. In a recent White House meeting, the nation’s democrat governors grumbled against the recent legal attack on Arizona for their newest immigration enforcement law S.B. 1070. Discussing it Democratic Governor Phil Bredesen said, “Universally the governors are saying, ‘We’ve got to talk about jobs,’ and all of a sudden we have immigration going on.”

While the statement may bring a sigh of relief to some who are happy to see that at least our state leaders know what really needs attention, deeper within their rejection of the lawsuit, you see nothing but the dangerous hunger of the liberals. Despite this lawsuit being an example of a nation attacking itself from within in an already challenging time, it wasn’t the action that the governors are snubbing but the timing of the action so close to November of 2010.

It is not problematic that the lawsuit involved an already approved federal law which a state government saw being unused and decided to activate it for their and the nation’s safety, but the timing of its announcement and proceedings is dangerous. Already the words “Democrat” and “incumbent” are dire terms when it comes to the pending November Elections. It seems now, at least to the democrats, the phrase “immigration lawsuit” may be joining the anti-electoral mix for their reasons however and not the right ones.

Despite the aggression being felt from within their party, the fight against Arizona not only continues on but may be increased. At the same time of the meeting, Attorney General Eric Holder stated during an interview that yet another lawsuit is in the process. It was further said that the additional legal action will be regarding prospective racial profiling that may occur by following the law. This is despite the law actually dictating against racial profiling and, as said before, saying nothing more than what a disregarded federal law had already established.

It is not the timing of the lawsuit Democrats up for re-election should worry about but the lawsuit itself as well as the related attacks from speeches against Arizona to prospective additional lawsuits. A recent Quinnipiac University poll stated 51 percent support SB-1070, 45 percent believe it is a step to reduce illegal immigration and 76 percent oppose any and all boycotts against Arizona. Hence, it is the lawsuit that is the error, not the timing.

Why are they not against the lawsuit as a whole? Because they see the polls and the people who are outside of their office doors ready to vote against them in November. It is not just Obama which will be rewarded by amnesty but all Democrats. Hence, once again the Democratic Party has shown us once again they have no problem being against us as long as at means the possibility of re-election. Whether it’s the fact that the nation is literally attacking one of its own or the timing of the announcement and proceedings, the only real action we are seeing is a continuation of a frivolous lawsuit from people who claim to be the party of the Americans. While they may scream that they know what we need in the end, actions speak louder than words and their current activity screams one word and one word only: AMNESTY.

The more that we hear about the federal actions against Arizona, the more we have to ask questions about the lack of equal justice from the Department of Justice on other matters and what it means for the pursuit of justice for Americans moving forward.

News leaked out over the weekend that Attorney General Eric Holder is looking to take additional legal action against the state of Arizona – notably on racial profiling conditions.

Or, as the rest of us already know – the real reason for the lawsuit in the first place.

Yet, as we continue to address the legality (and perceived inappropriateness) of the Arizona illegal immigration law (the one that, by the way, pales in comparison to the federal law in place that it compliments, not contradicts), we see a contradictory tone set into the pursuit of justice by the Obama Administration and notably the Department of Justice under Mr. Holder’s lead.

Repeatedly, the Department of Justice has down-scaled the importance of this matter with the New Black Panther Party, taking actions from dismissing lawsuits against an organization that has seemingly outlived its purpose to bargaining away any truly punitive action against Minister King Samir Shabazz for his threatening behavior at polling stations during the 2008 presidential election. Although people have made this instance out to be a racially-driven matter (which much of it appears to be), the bigger issue is being missed by an increasingly-divided America that is driven by racial emotions that are stoking up after the election of America’s first “post-racial” president.

If the nation remains overly caught up in the shock, anger, and emotions surrounding the racial issues of the Arizona immigration lawsuit and New Black Panther Party dismissed case, it is easy to forget that the past several presidential administrations have attempted to craft the definitions of law and justice based on their political whims. With the Bush Administration, the definition of constitutional rights for American citizens was being re-crafted to allow the government more invasive abilities into citizens’ privacy for the sake of “keeping America safe.” Although this is a fair and just cause, it was still not enough of a cause to suspend key components of the Constitution that secured rights for American citizens. This included the politically-expedient need to cast both President Bush and the Republicans as the party more capable of protecting the nation after 9/11, a political image needed to garner Mr. Bush a second term in the White House after a highly-contested race in 2000 and ill feelings towards his administration and many Republicans in Congress leading up to 2004.

Today, the Obama Administration is willing to implement another political ploy with the administering and definitions of justice in order to gain political points for a struggling administration and political party intent of keeping power in 2010 and 2012. For Mr. Obama, the opportunity to exploit is not a terrorist attack on American soil; instead, it is the uptick in racial mistrust and American anxiety due to the economy and the threat of continued violence in America based on open borders. As we have seen historically, the continued frustration of many Americans concerning the economy again has an impact on the viewpoints expressed for race relations (and scape-goating) in the United States. Historically, immigrants (both legal and illegal) have been blamed for a litany of issues when our nation has undergone a downturn, just as what is being done today. Just the same, race relations between Whites and Blacks feel an extra twinge of tension whenever money and jobs are tight nationally. The president and his team are taking full advantage of this dynamic, using the historical and emotional polarities involved socially today to work themselves into a position where they are viewed as champions of justice – including parading around for the civil rights of disadvantaged non-citizens. However, to further the gap between the “haves” and the “have nots” (which many incorrectly decipher exclusively on race) for Mr. Obama’s populist appeal as the leader standing up against “the Man”, there must also be actions that allow for a double standard of rights and protections afforded by the federal government. And in this lays the problem.

Whether for physical protection of people or the civil protection of social injustices, whenever the White House or other branches of government are willing to defend laws and pursue justice based on political whims and not the Constitution and its guarantees of equality, we quickly risk the arrival of an America that is truly up for sale. Despite the influence of Japan in the 1980s and 1990s and now China in our economy, the United States could at least hold its head up and state that some things are above reproach – until now. Mr. Holder’s curious choices for the Arizona immigration case and the New Black Panther Party situation indicate that even American justice – at all levels of government – are truly up for sale, depending on the political capital one is willing to spend or the amount of money one is capable of producing. This is the danger that the Justice Department’s recent actions have elicited. When the government can continue to so easily define “fair and just” to the American public without regard to any standards of consistency – just as consistent standards for profiling and racial intimidation are being tossed out by the Justice Department now – the American system of law is fractured and in crisis. Is it any wonder, then, that our country’s ability to come back from these economic and social crises over the past few years has been compromised through a lack of faith in our leaders, a mistrust of each other, and a contradictory set of standards where our conscience and character are increasingly again predetermined by color – including that of one’s political views?

Apparently our racist Attorney General, Eric Holder, just can’t steer himself away from people’s sights for a while. After seventeen-plus year attorney J. Christian Adams walked out on the DoJ – in protest over the dismissal of a case against armed Black Panthers – he’s back with a vengeance. From the comfort of the Old Dominion, he has a lot of things to say about the politics of race and the Justice Department’s direction in it all.

Which isn’t pretty.

As far as I know, intimidating voters – even with nightsticks and verbal threats – is against the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. But in the name of racial gotcha, the case was conveniently dismissed right before Samir Shabazz, Zulu Shabazz, and Jerry Jackson – falsely portrayed as “security guards” by the liberal mainstream media – got what they deserved.

It could be speculative for now, and might not have anything to do with the issue at hand, but isn’t it strange that AG Holder, who has such an obvious interest in seeing justice served – to the point that he hadn’t read SB1070 before criticizing it – is slacking on the job? Isn’t it strange he also felt he needed to go to bat for ACORN – known for registering hundreds of thousands of dead cartoon mice to vote for Obama? Or that as soon as he takes DoJ control, a case which is called a “slam dunk” is dropped even after it’s been won?

Between a Justice Department that has no room to talk about agendas, and concrete violation of Section 11B of the VRA, what can we trust? Other than “the buck stops here,” which I’m going to hold Holder’s boss to, what message does the “post-racial president” want to send if he’s hot for the rule of law? Did fighting for racial equality stop as soon as Barry H. took his oath? It’s hardly “equality” to allow the three of them to get away from a clearly defined – and required, in the case of a Presidential election – prison sentence.

They’re so committed to justice that Deputy AG Perez – in front of Congress – dismissed such serious charges as a waste of time.

Doesn’t it look like Adams has some damn good points?

Luckily for us however, he watches plenty of MSM.

BUT that’s just the segue into the video posted below. Holder also testified before the House Judiciary Committee on the Radical Islam link (or as he says, non link) between recent terror attacks and respective attempts. Nothing further needs to be said, ENJOY!

On this chilly day, in frigid wind-swept rain, protesters filled Foley Square in lower Manhattan to protest US Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammad and four other terrorists in civilian court.

Sponsored by 911NeverForget.us coalition, crowds braved the elements to hear speakers denounce Holder’s action and call for a reversal by the Attorney General himself or the Obama Administration to have these men be rightfully tried in military court.

Local talk radio personality Steve Malzberg was the host for the event. 9/11 family members, firefighters, police and others took to the stage.

Debra Burlingame, sister of the slain pilot of Flight 77 Charles Burlingame, was the first speaker. She spoke passionately about her brother, who went down fighting and why Americans cannot afford the protections of our Constitution being placed upon KSM and the conspirators.

Actor Brian Dennehy read a heartfelt letter from the parents of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. Judea and Ruth Pearl spoke of their son’s killers, not as criminals, but as terrorists who have waged war through their actions.

Malzberg introduced a video montage of the recent testimony of Holder on Capitol Hill in support of deciding to try the terrorists in civil court rather than by military tribunal. Led by Senator Lindsey Graham, Holder was summarily taken apart by the committee for allowing war combatants access to our courts.

Following the video, former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy also spoke in protest. McCarthy prosecuted blind sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, the mastermind of the first World Trade Center bombings in 1993. McCarthy did not want a repeat of the 1993 attacks by giving the terrorists full access to the courts as well as the intelligence that can be used to recruit and embolden future terrorists.

Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels, was the heart of the rally. The quintessential New Yorker, Sliwa energized the crowd with his ardent call to let KSM and others have their prior wish granted: plead guilty in military court and be executed.

One of the final speakers was David Beamer, father of Flight 93 hero Todd Beamer. Fearing an attack of our federal system by those who have chosen to wage war against our country, Beamer spoke directly to President Barack Obama, Beamer and implored “Right this wrong – stop this attack!”

The program concluded with tenor Daniel Rodriguez singing the stirring “God Bless America” as the crowd provided the back-up.

This may have been the first organized protest against Attorney General Holder but it doesn’t seem like the last

Article by Jordan Sekulow and Sam Nunberg

In March of 2003, Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) sat in a holding room after being captured by the Pakistani Military. While he was extremely tepid around the Pakistanis for fear of their methods of interrogation, the self proclaimed mastermind of 9/11 and beheader of Daniel Pearl knew that the Pakistanis would eventually transfer him into the custody of the FBI.

As the Al-Qaeda manual reads, he knew that once the FBI detained him, the US Constitution and the domestic mandate of the FBI requires that he be given an attorney and a fast and speedy trial. After all, that is exactly what happened during the Clinton Administration’s prosecution of KSM’s nephew Ramzi Yousef for the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. Soon the door opened and an American walked into the room. As George Tenet has repeatedly stated, KSM immediately said that he would not talk to the American and demanded an attorney once he arrived in New York City. The CIA agent replied to KSM that he was in for a big surprise as the Bush Administration had properly characterized the atrocity of 9/11 and Islamic Extremism as a whole as an act of war and would treat KSM as an unlawful enemy combatant. In a sharp contrast, AG Eric Holder, with the approval of President Obama, has now awarded KSM his lawyer, his day in court and the full protection of the US Constitution.

Yet while Holder’s decision should infuriate us all, it also should come as no surprise. His continued record of transnationalist legal activism makes any card holding member of the ACLU blush and is illustrative of the drastic difference between the Republican and Democrat mindset on prosecuting terrorism. While Fox News has covered the radical group of Czars that Obama has appointed, the public has frankly been left in the dark about the radical leftist that controls the Justice Department. A simple run through of Holder’s record as Deputy Attorney General in the Clinton Administration for three years and his first 10 months in the Obama Administration clearly shows that America is best served with Holder submitting his resignation effective yesterday.

Holder’s term as Deputy Attorney General is most notorious for the infamous and highly questionable 2001 pardon of Marc Rich in which Holder usurped regular DOJ procedure and delivered the pardon to Pres. Clinton without going through the proper vetting. Even more nefarious, according to the DOJ’s own guidelines, no pardon can be granted until five years after completion of a sentence in a criminal case. Yet Rich never had a trial as he stayed in Switzerland after being indicted by then US Attorney Rudolph Guiliani. This was preceded by the 1999 pardon of 16 FALN terrorists who set off 120 bombs across America in which Holder commented in his AG confirmation hearing earlier this year that he does not regret authorizing, unlike the Rich pardon.

Holder also unabashedly defended the 2000 DOJ decision to take Elian Gonzalez at gunpoint from his relative’s house and return the young boy to Castro’s Cuba despite not having a court order to enforce the custody position that Holder used to support the Clinton Administration’s decision.

Further foreshadowing Holder’s inept and dangerous soft mentality on terrorism, then Deputy Attorney General Holder negotiated for Scotland to prosecute the Libyan Lockerbie Bomber Abdelbaset al-Magrahi. Surely the United States could have argued for jurisdiction over the matter, and demanded that the suspect be transferred into American custody for murdering over 190 Americans on Pan Am Flight103 in 1988. Yet Holder, as Scotland Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill has detailed in testimony, resisted having al-Megrahi transferred into American custody. While a Scotland jury found al-Megrahi guilty in 2001, earlier this past August the Lockerbie Bomber was greeted to cheers on a Libyan tarmac after Scotland ‘compassionately released’ the convicted killer. MacAskill found AG Holder’s arguments against his decision ironic considering his past actions as Deputy Attorney General.

Of course with his impeccable record of far left failures and questionable actions as Deputy Attorney General, Obama quickly nominated Holder to be his chief law enforcement officer. In ten short months, Holder the Attorney General has quickly outpaced Holder the Deputy Attorney as being one of the most hopeless and radical attorneys to ever wield the discretion of the DOJ on the American people. By mid-April, Holder’s Justice Department had released over 100 pages of confidential documents written during the Bush Administration that described both the methods and legal rationale for the enhanced interrogation methods used on high level Al-Qaeda members such KSM. This was not only an intelligence coup for Al-Qaeda and other Islamic Extremists but also major world competitors such as Iran, Russia and China.

While Obama repeatedly stated that he did not want to investigate the brave interrogators of the CIA who worked the sessions against KSM which served as the substance of a substantial part of the 9/11 Report, Holder authorized a prosecutor this past August to reexamine cases of alleged abuse. This discretionary decision was ordered by Holder despite the fact that these cases were all investigated in the past by the DOJ’s own career prosecutors during the Bush term and even lead to one conviction.

Yet in sharp prosecutorial contrast, Holder quietly quashed an ongoing pay-for-play corruption investigation of New Mexico governor, and former Obama commerce secretary nominee, Bill Richardson despite the fact that the investigation was lead by an independent U.S. attorney in New Mexico and a grand jury. This was also a reversal of Justice Department protocols which call for local control of corruption cases. Combined with Holder’s decision to drop the voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party for the infamous Pennsylvania polling center incident, AG Holder clearly displays an ad-hoc, illogical on the whim legal malfeasance which characterizes the liberal legal activist. While Holder called Americans “a nation of cowards” in racial relations, it seems Holder the Attorney General cowers to the left, its cronies and the propensity of ideologues that mirrors tyrants in using the power of their office to prosecute political enemies.

After KSM was finally broken during the CIA interrogation by the methods which Holder claims do not work, he told his interrogators that his original 9/11 plan involved hijacking a total of ten airplanes. This even more grandiose version called for nine planes to hit all the targets of 9/11 as well as both the CIA and FBI headquarters, nuclear power plants, and the tallest buildings in California and the state of Washington. KSM would next land the tenth plane in a US airport and after killing all the adult male passengers on board, he would alert the media and deliver a speech excoriating U.S. support of Israel and the Philippines. Bin Laden nixed the grand scale of KSM’s plan but agreed to finance and materially support a less complex terrorist attack without the plane for the media KSM media spectacle.

However, Holder’s decision to prosecute KSM less than a mile from Ground Zero has sadly and inexcusably provided KSM both with attorney he demanded from the CIA as well as the opportunity to continuously deliver his speech and fatwas in a New York Federal Courtroom. If this is what the current DOJ would submit as KSM “finally fac(ing) justice,” then it can only be because Eric Holder is the Activist Attorney General.

I have no idea why the racebaiters, led by President Barack Obama and the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton, haven’t seized upon Blood’s A Rover and called for a boycott against it. Maybe they don’t read anything other than their own press. Perhaps they’ve missed it because it hasn’t quite made the Amazon Top 100 or cracked the New York Times bestseller list yet.

Whatever the reason for their silence so far, I’m grateful.

I’m grateful that we’ve still got a free press, not yet crushed by left-think, willing to publish literature which–even under the most generous assessment–could never be considered politically correct. In fact, I seriously doubt James Ellroy, the author of Blood’s A Rover, would have made the guest list for Ted Kennedy’s funeral services as he’s transformed his calling card from L.A. noirist to Kennedy myth exposer by pulling off the soft focus lens and kid gloves used by the MSM to glorify, in their collective mind, America’s royal family.

Peppered with liberal helpings of racial epithets, sexual slanders and bald-faced bigotry, Blood’s A Rover completes Ellroy’s fascinating Underworld U.S.A. Trilogy which started with American Tabloid, a chronicle of Camelot and the JFK assassination. The fictionalized historical trinity continued with the Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, jr. assassinations in The Cold Six Thousand. And now, the final side of the triangle has been placed as Ellroy further pierces Academe’s establishment history on Vietnam, the race riots, Hoover’s FBI, the Mafia and even Tricky Dick himself.

As the pillory of Nixon proves, it’s not all expose of liberal icons, though. Ellroy writes truth about right-wingers, left-wingers and every human in between, and the tool he uses to accomplish this is language: foul, offensive and hurtful. He’s not afraid to let us really know that some, if not most, of his characters exhibit all-too-human prejudices. They tell it like it was.

In an interview circa December, 2004 with the A.V. Club’s Keith Phipps, Ellroy had this to say: “…For all my dark curiosities and profane shtick, I’m a moral guy, and the books are moral, and I think I’m a moralist. I’ve said this before, so if you see this quote on the Internet, don’t be surprised: Morality in literature is largely the exposing of moral acts and their consequences, the karmic price of the perpetrators of the immoral acts, for having committed them. In that sense, I think the books are very moral… You know what? Call me racist, and call me a xenophobe… And anyone out there who doesn’t like it can kiss my ass. It’s saying it that’s so much fun. ”

That Ellroy can still tell us stories without PC censorship proves that those on the right aren’t cowards about race or bigotry as AG Holder recently and so famously proposed, but it requires that we on this side of the aisle support art that exposes the truth. Get a copy of Blood’s A Rover. Purchase it. Capitalism, baby! Don’t check it out at the library. Shuck socialism!

The action, the vibe, the secret history don’t disappoint. But most of all, Ellroy’s truth knows how to entertain.
